Trinity College is also known as The
University of Dublin which was founded in 1592 by Queen
Elizabeth I. It is as matter of fact the oldest learning
institution in Ireland. This place has attracted at
least half a million tourists or visitors each year and
can be considered as Ireland’s top tourist attraction.
The place itself has many magnificent buildings such as
their Printing House and the Dining Hall. Their top
attraction is their massive collections of old books,
well over 200,000 of them! Have you ever heard of the
Book of Kells? It’s an ancient textbook of the four
gospels written by Irish monks in AD 800 in Latin. It is
their most prized exhibit in the Treasury Room.
If you love to see old architectural
buildings, this is one of the best spot in Dublin to do
so. What’s more, you can also take this opportunity to
meet and make some new friends here. Regular folks
around Trinity College are so used of seeing and helping
visitors that any outsiders found it a bit hard to
believe. We did too when we first heard about it. This
is indeed the best place to mingle with the local
Dubliners!
